If you generated or signed the wrong document, the fix depends on whether it was only generated, already signed, or filed with a state.
Generated but not signed: Discard or regenerate the document with the correct details.
Signed but not yet relied upon: You may be able to void it and re-issue a corrected version.
Filed with a state or shared with investors: A correction or amendment may be required — this can have legal consequences, so consult an attorney before acting. Document the original and the correction so your records stay consistent.
