Migrate your cap table from a spreadsheet or another provider

How to bring an existing cap table into PaperOS cleanly.

Moving your cap table into PaperOS lets you manage equity, documents, and compliance in one place. This guide covers preparing your data and importing it.

Before you import:

  • Gather your current cap table (spreadsheet or export from your prior provider).

  • Collect underlying documents: stock purchase agreements, option grants, SAFEs/notes, board consents.

  • Reconcile totals so authorized, issued, and outstanding shares match your records.

Import:

  • Start the cap-table setup workflow.

  • Upload your data and documents.

  • Review the imported records against your source for accuracy.
