Roles & permissions: who can see and do what
Understand PaperOS roles and how to control access in your workspace.
PaperOS uses role-based permissions so the right people can view and edit the right things. This article explains the available roles and how to assign them.
Typical roles:
Owner/Admin: full access, including billing and user management.
Member: works in assigned workflows and documents.
Viewer/Guest: limited, often read-only access (for advisors or investors).
Assign roles from workspace settings, and review access regularly — especially after fundraising or offboarding.
PaperOS is not a law firm, and can only provide self-help services or enable collaboration with third-party service providers at your specific direction. Do not rely on any documents or information from PaperOS without consulting an attorney. PaperOS may partner with or refer clients to licensed attorneys, but such referral does not constitute an attorney-client relationship until the attorney is officially engaged by the client.
