Understanding Partner-Service and State Filing Fees
Why some charges are separate from your subscription, and what they cover.
Your PaperOS subscription covers the platform, but some services carry separate fees. Knowing the difference helps you anticipate costs.
Common separate charged are the state filing fees that are set by each state for formations, amendments, and annual reports. These are paid to the state passed through by PaperOS. Another common type of fee is a Registered Agent fee. These are annual and administered by state.
Partner and legal service add-ons like 409A valuations, SPV administration, and attorney consultations are billed separately. Legal service fees are billed under the law firm entity, the PaperOS Partner Network, where applicable.
PaperOS is not a law firm, and can only provide self-help services or enable collaboration with third-party service providers at your specific direction. Do not rely on any documents or information from Savvi without consulting an attorney. PaperOS may partner with or refer clients to licensed attorneys, but such referral does not constitute an attorney-client relationship until the attorney is officially engaged by the client.
